Large catering boxes are bought for the main event; the 30 litre cater box is bought for everything around it. It carries one 150 mm deep GN 1/1 pan, or three shallow pans, and holds hot food above 60 C or chilled food below 5 C for four to six hours with no power supply, which makes it the right unit for a breakout room, a single buffet station, a VIP table, a tasting session or a satellite service point that cannot justify a 90 litre cabinet.
